Aims, contents and method of the course
Aufbauend auf die in der Einführung in die Literaturwissenschaft erworbenen Kenntnisse sollen die Studierenden in dieser Lehrveranstaltung die wichtigsten literaturtheoretischen Zugänge im Detail kennenlernen - ihre Geschichte, ihre wichtigsten VertreterInnen, ihre Grundgedanken - und diese dann an konkreten Textbeispielen selbst anwenden. Die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit werden in der Gruppe präsentiert und diskutiert. Das Ziel der Lehrveranstaltung ist es, den Studierenden praktische Grundkompetenzen zur literarischen Analyse zu vermitteln.Methode der Lehrveranstaltung: multimedial gestützter Vortrag sowie Input von Studierenden und Diskussionen im Plenum

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
A deeper understanding of relevant theories and concepts in the cultural theory on nation building
Examination topics
