Als Begleitlektüre werden folgende Werke empfohlen: Pertti Lassila: Geschichte der finnischen Literatur (A. Francke Verlag Tübingen und Basel 1996); Kai Laitinen: Finnische Literatur im Überblick (Otava Verlag, Helsinki 1989). Pekka Tarkka: Finnische Literatur der Gegenwart. Fünfzig Autoren-Porträts. (Otava Verlag, Keuruu, 1983).
