• Analyse the poetics of prose literatureContent:This course reconsiders how contemporary Finnish prose employs, reflects, explores and modifies poetics and narratives. Course explores both well-known, often award-winning, high/middle-brow mainstream novels from 2000s and some more marginal or experimental texts. The focus is on their form, content, structure and genealogy. The aim is at understanding how prose literature constructs itself and it’s poetics by repeating and modifying genres, traditions, tropes, medialities, cultural phenomena and various forms of texts and other materials.Modes of Study:
