Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic concepts that make it possible to systematically describe and analyse the meaning of sentences that contain forms of negation, conjunction, quantifiers, and modal expressions, with special reference to Hungarian and Finnish.

Assessment and permitted materials

Class participation, homework assignments, short written tests, final written test.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance requirements according to the rules of the University of Vienna. The grade is based on the evaluation of the homework assignments and the short written tests (50%) and of the final written test (50%).
Minimum requirement: 50% of the maximum number of points.
Assessment criteria:
90-100% = Sehr gut
75% = Gut
60% = Befriedigend
50% = Genügend
