Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is offered for the students with no previous knowledge:
- Grammar and basic vocabulary building.
- Conversation training using simple role-plays
- Reading of simple texts, fairy tales, listening to songs and singing.
A limited basic vocabulary for the reception and production of elementary linguistic utterances in everyday situations is acquired, following the acquisition of systematic knowledge of language structure, formation of listening, speaking and reading skills. In addition, you will get an insight into Lithuanian culture. The language competence of level A1.2 will be acquired.

Assessment and permitted materials

- 3 tests of 30 min: 1st test written 20 points, 2nd test written 30 points, 3rd test written 40 points and oral 10 points.
- Homework (10 points will be deducted for missing homework)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For positive completion, 50 points must be achieved:
- for a 1: 90-100 points
- for a 2: 70-90 points
- for a 3: 60-70 points
- for a 4: 50-60 points
Attendance rule: a maximum of three absences allowed for a positive assessment.

Examination topics

The material studied in class up to the test, including grammar and vocabulary, in the form of written exercises. In the 3rd test for the oral part, a monologue "Me and my family".
