Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The students recognize how to conduct qualitatively good research and how to use the knowledge gained from the research for scientific work.
The students see that the use of relevant bibliographic aids and the use of the most important specialist reference works (not only Google and Wikipedia!!!) is a basic requirement for a good BA thesis.
The students create critical reflections on the existing texts and show themselves to be firm in the genesis of the text.
The prerequisite for a positive grade is the fulfillment of the minimum attendance: It is possible to stay away from the practice units three times with a plausible reason (!). If someone is absent more than three times, a positive grade is no longer possible or the overall grade will be "insufficient". Components for the grade are:
- active participation: 10%
- Execution of work tasks: 10%
- Group presentation: 10%
- Prepare two short written assignments: 20%
- Final test: 50%
A positive grade can only be achieved if at least 60% of these partial performances have been fulfilled.
All students must complete a guided tour of the library (duration: 60 minutes).
