Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The clouds in trousers, witches flying above Soviet Moscow, romantic scarlet sails which bring love, a flight from Petrograd to Mars in 1918, talking dogs, a very enigmatic woman named I-330, who breaks the rules... If you have never heard of these and some other exciting things, happening during the times of Socialist Realism, this course is for you. It is a discussion-based class designed to improve the critical thinking skills and thus requires some reading and active participation from all students. Knowledge of Russian is not required.
