Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Russian literature harbours a peculiar pattern—its finest minds, time and again, drawn to the abyss, never to return. This course is not a mere survey of their works, but a forensic dissection of despair itself.
What alchemy of history, philosophy, and personal torment led them to the same grim conclusion? Were they unearthing a truth too vast to bear, or ensnared in a cruel design of their own making?
Perhaps the answers lie in their final words. Or perhaps not.
