Aims, contents and method of the course

The goal of this course is to translate texts of a high level adequately with respect to their linguistic and stylistic stratum.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular attendance (being absent twice will be tolerated), thorough preparation of the texts, active participation during class. Coming unprepared equals being absent. Two tests during term, one at the end of term (including the use of dictionaries).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Texts should be prepared at home. They will be translated together in class, problems, variants etc. will be discussed.
