Assessment and permitted materials
No final examination, but see under "Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab" (Minimum requirements and criteria of evaluation).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The minimum requirement for a positive evaluation is constant active collaboration (missing thrice at most is permitted), an oral report complete with handout, and the writing of a seminar paper (including a possible consultation talk thereon) in the form of a paper on one aspect of Dîvân literature (chosen by the student) according to the rules of good scholarly practice (among other things: no plagiarism! acceptable linguistic and stylistic level! correct citing!). The collaboration includes research on a small scale and reports on it as well as discussion. Each partial accomplishment will be evaluated individually. The seminar paper (and possible consultation talk) will make up 60% of the evaluation, the oral report with handout and other collaboration 40% thereof.
