Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to research, sources, methods. Getting acquainted with the main Turcological literature; some reading of Ottoman texts.

Assessment and permitted materials

Reading a paper in class.
Preparing Ottoman texts.
Short final test.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
