Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of "LIMBU LEARNING COURSE FOR NON-LIMBU SPEAKERS’’ is to give a basic learning course to Limbu language, a Tibeto-Burman language spoken in Sikkim, Eastern Nepal and some parts of North-Eastern States of India.

1) Phonology [Pronunciation/Sounding of Alphabets]: 2 Units [2x90=180]
[i] Vowels, Consonants, Conjoint letters, Diacritic & affixs: 1 Unit [1x90=90]
[ii] Writing and reading practice [oral test/dictation]: 1 Unit [1x90=90]

2] Morphology [Word formation]: 1 Units [1x90=90]
[i] Word formation in the alphabetical order [Vowels, consonants], with the use of conjoint letters, diacritics and affixs : Unit 1 [1x90=90]

3] Syntax [Sentence making]: 2 Units [2x90=180]
[i] Sentence formation: 1 Unit [1x90=90]
[ii] Exercise/practice [dictation/oral test]: 1 Unit [1x90=90]

4] Grammar & Conversation: 8 Units [8x90=720]
[i] Grammar: 1 Units [1x90=90]
-Parts of Speech in Limbu Grammar [Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adverb, Adjective, Conjunction, Postposition etc.]
[iii] Conversation: 7 Unit [7x90=630]
-Conversation among the students in simple sentences with the use of simple/easy words.
