Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Students will be evaluated on the basis of their presentations during the course and written homeworks to be handed in regularly. Class participation will be noted and can improve students' grades.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Different theories will be discussed, as well as the related empirical evidence and policy debates. Class participation is encouraged and reflected in students' grades. Students' presentation will be peer-evaluated.

Reading list
Literature will discussed in the first class. We will cover among others Easterly and Krugman and economic readers.
