Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar aims to study the development of Arabic Language for adjusting to modern needs. It will be mainly focused on adaptation and innovation of Arabic terminology.

Homework
Final paper

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In order to get a positive evaluation, active participation in the lessons is required. Also, the students should prepare homework every week. Homework will consist in searching for specific terms in modern and old dictionaries and in reading scientific literature. Finally, a seminar paper is required.
Attending is compulsory. Only 3 absences are allowed with NO EXCEPTION.
Evaluation: Active participation & homework (50%), final paper (50%).

Examination topics

There is no exam.
