Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students will design and implement a research project in the realm of any of the following fields: development economics, international economics, political economy.
Assessment and permitted materials
Mitarbeit, Beteiligung an Diskussionen, schriftliche Vorarbeiten, abschließende Bachelorarbeit von mindestens 60.000 Zeichen inkl. Leerzeichen mit wissenschaftlich vertretbarem Inhalt und in angemessener Form. Sollten Studierende in den Bachelorstudienplan 2011 umgestiegen sein und die Voraussetzungen für den Besuch des Bachelorseminars erbringen, so hat die abschließende Bachelorarbeit wenigstens 95.000 Zeichen inklusive Leerzeichen bei sonst gleichen Bedingungen zu umfassen.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The objective of the seminar is for the students to familiarize themselves with the formulation and implementation of research questions and strategies.
Examination topics
After a short introduction, students will form groups to analyze and discuss common research interests, as well as research strategies. This will lead to the presentation of their individual research projects and the realization of their bachelor theses at the end of the semester. Everyone is expected to give constructive criticism of other colleagues’ work.
