Aims, contents and method of the course

In dieser einführenden Vorlesung werden die wichtigsten Entwicklungstheorien und Entwicklungsparadigmen vorgestellt und diskutiert. Dabei stehen sowohl aktuelle als auch historische Ansätze und Entwicklungsvorstellungen im Zentrum des Interesses.

Assessment and permitted materials

Multiple Choice Prüfung auf der Grundlage der Vorlesungen, Beiträge aus dem Band "Entwicklung und Unterentwicklung" (siehe unten) und Texten, die im Moodle zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ziel ist die wichtigesten theoretische Grundlagen zu vermitteln, die im Zuge des Studiums der Internationalen Entwicklung relevant sind, da sie einerseits die Vorstellungen von Entwicklung als auch andererseits die entwicklungspolitische Praxis geprägt haben und immer noch prägen. Eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit den theoretischen Ansätzen steht ebenfalls im Mittelpunkt der Vorlesung.

Examination topics

Neben einer allgemeinen Einführung und einer Podiumsdiskussion werden die theoretischen Ansätze in Form von Vorlesungen mit Diskussion von den VeranstalterInnen sowie Lehrenden aus den an der Plattform und an dem Studiengang beteilgten Disziplinen vorgestellt.
