This course covers some of the key topics in Development Economics. The course will be taught at an introductory level. No prior knowledge of Economics is assumed.This course repeats and deepens the topics discussed in Prof. Cunat's lecture. We will be trailing Cunat's lecture by one week. You should try to take both (lecture and this course) in the same semester to save yourself some work.

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students will develop analytical skills to think independently about the problems of developing countries as well as the effects of economic policies.
Assessment and permitted materials
Literature will discussed in the first class. We will cover among others Easterly and Krugman and economic readers
