Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic knowledge of Turkish grammar (alphabet, vowel harmony, basic sentences in present and perfect tense, case suffixes) will be introduced by means of the coursebook "Türkische Grammatik" which can be purchased in the office of the Department of Oriental Studies.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written examination at the end of the term, comprising grammar as well as conversation. No dictionary!

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Written examination (20 questions, 5 points per question);
Grading system: 0-52 insufficient (nicht genügend)/53-65 sufficient (genügend)/66-77 satisfactory (befriedigend)/78-90 good (gut)/91-100 excellent (sehr gut)

Examination topics

Lessons 1-6 or 7 of the coursebook "Türkische Grammatik".
Conversation exercises (written).
