Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

After the summit in Addis Abeba in July 2015 dealing with financing for development and the SDG summit in New York we can expect that there are at least commitments to a new SDG framework and how to finance the SDGs. In the seminar we will discuss the most important documents and strategies how to implement the SDGs

Assessment and permitted materials

active participation, presentation of different positions of the various stakeholders and writing a final paper

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge about the political background of the SDGs and the ability to assess to what the implementation of the SDGs is linked in political terms.

Examination topics

Critical discours of the most important preparation- and final documents of the FfD and the SDG process.

Reading list

UN documents and papers from various stakeholders. Details will be discussed at the beginning of the seminar
