Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic grammatical structures and basic vocabulary of the spoken dialect of Baghdad

Assessment and permitted materials

The first exam will be held on June 30, 2021 (three additional appointments will be offered in the upcoming winter semester).
The exam will be oral. For this, there is the possibility to take the exam on site in compliance with the Corona measures (The 3-G rule applies! Please also bring proof for this.). There is also the possibility to take the exam online on the same day. Due to the proof of identity, online exams are only held with the camera switched on.
The exam will include general grammar questions that have been covered this semester. In addition, you will be given short exercises based on those discussed together during the semester. To check whether you have sufficient knowledge of the transcription system, you will also have to write a short text.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge of phonological, morphological and syntactical structures. Scientific transcription system. Vocabulary.
100 – 91 = Sehr gut
79 – 90 = Gut
65 - 78 = Befriedigend
51 - 64 = Genügend
< 51 Nicht genügend

Examination topics

The first 7-8 Lessons of the textbook.
Lesson 8: only imperative (incl. negation), and giving directions (text 1,2 and 3) and vocabulary
