Aims, contents and method of the course

Am Beispiel der Kulturgeschichte des antiken und frühislamischen Iran unterzieht die Lehrveranstaltung Konzepte wie kulturelle Identität, Kulturkontakt, Akkulturation oder Transkulturation einer kritischen theoretischen und historischen Sichtung. Anhand von Fallbeispielen wird sich die LV dem Iran im Altertum und Mittelalter als einer der wichtigsten kulturellen Kontakt- und Vermittlungsregionen Asiens annähern. Texte, vor allem aber visuelle und materielle Quellen von der Antike bis in die Gegenwart werden besprochen.
Die LV ist eine Kombination von Übersichtsvorlesung und Diskussion von Fallbeispielen.

Der erste Prüfungstermin ist die letzte Vorlesungseinheit (27.01.2022) Ingesamt werden 4 Prüfungstermine angeboten werden.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Mindestanforderung: Für eine positive Beurteilung sind mind. 50% der erreichbaren 60 Punkte erforderlich.
Beurteilungsmaßstab:
52 - 60 Punkte: Sehr Gut (1)
45 - 51,5 Punkte: Gut (2)
37 - 44,5 Punkte: Befriedigend (3)
30 - 36,5 Punkte: Genügend (4)
0 - 29,5 Punkte: Nicht Genügend (5)
