Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this class, students will familiarize themselves with various archives, libraries, museums, and other institutions and their (online) archival collections that are relevant to contemporary historical issues in Turkish studies. Students will learn which collection to consult for which topic and how to access and use them for specific purposes.

Discussion of secondary literature
Written exercises
Practical exercises for carrying out online archival research

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students are expected to attend classes regularly (maximum 3 times absence is excused) and actively participate in in-class activities and discussions.

Attendance: 30%
In-class participation in discussions and activities: 30 %
Assignments: 40 %
