Aims, contents and method of the course

Activities of actors and their securities policies in the Arab world will be analyzed. Non-governmental armed actors are focussed on. A more realistic idea of actors in Southwest Asia and North Africa will be the result of this analysis

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular and active attendance of the course. Reading 30 pages of the literature used in the course. Writing a seminar paper.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Regular active attendance, writing a seminar paper according to the state of art

Examination topics

No oral or written exam (cf. above).
