Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In the second semester the acquired basic grammatical knowledge is extended and consolidated. Besides verbal morphology, the focus will be on syntax and lexis of the modern Persian language.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular attendance (3 missed classes are tolerated) and participation are a prerequisite for the successful completion of the course. At the end of the semester, a supplementary final test (written + oral) will take place.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In addition to a basic theoretical understanding of morphology and syntax, the course is designed to enable students to grasp contemporary Persian texts and to master simple communicative Prerequisites for this: Completion of Persian I. Students are expected to have good German and English language skills and a basic interest in linguistic issues.

Examination topics

The examination will include all practical and theoretical contents of the course.
