The student is expected to activly participate in the lessons, to prepare a presentation, pass the final test as well as to read suggested literature.

The course will give an overview of the developments of Arabic trade and economies in a global context.
The major aspects will be shown by elaborating selected topics ranging from medival Arab trade with Europe to the challanges of decarbonisation for oil producing Arab economies.
