Aims, contents and method of the course

This lecture will be tought in German language!
The course will give an overview of the developments of Arabic trade and economies in a global context.
In this second term stress will be put on the more practical aspects of modern day economy in the Arab world.

Assessment and permitted materials

The student is expected to activly participate in the lessons, to prepare a presentation, pass the final test as well as to read suggested literature.
The test will take place in the last unit of the lecture.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendence is required but missing twice will be tolerated.
The result depends on participation (30%) presentation (30%) and final test (40%)
