Aims, contents and method of the course

We will analyze the modern forms of architecture in the Arab world. This analyze is based on recent decolonial theory. The course aims unfolds a new understanding of modern and contemporary architecture and a better understanding of decolonial theory.
The course is conceptualized as research in dialogue.

active participation, writing an analysis of aspects of modern Arab architecture

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Active participation:50%, Presentation 30%, final paper/concept 20%
100-90% - 1, 89-75% - 2, 74-65% - 3, 64-50% - 4

Examination topics

There are no examinations (oral or written).
