Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We will cover non-armed governmental forces in the Arab world as an example of armed forces in current conflicts. These forces are important actors in these conflicts.

Assessment and permitted materials

Weekly reports on current developments; participation in two online discussions; writing an analytical essay.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Making sense of English and Arabic language sources. Other languages are welcome.
30% weekly reports
10% participation in online discussion
60% online essay

Examination topics

Grading is according to active participation and writing an analytical essay.
