Aims, contents and method of the course

Lektüre klassisch-arabischer Texte; Vorstellung von Hilfsmitteln dazu (wie Grammatiken, Wörterbücher) und von Besonderheiten des klassisch-Arabischen (wie Struktur von Namen, Eulogien, Aufbau von Hadithen)

Assessment and permitted materials

Aktive Teilnahme an den wöchentlichen Unterricht (dreimaliges Fehlen wird toleriert)
Vorbereitung von Übersetzungen der arabischen Texte, die jede Woche besprochen werden
schriftliche Proseminararbeit bestehend aus Transkription, Übersetzung, Kommentierung und Kontextualisierung eines klassisch-arabischen Textes

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

• Hausübungen - 30%
• Mitarbeit – 20%
• Referat – 10%
• Abschlussarbeit – 40%
Die Arbeit muss den Regeln der guten wissenschaftlichen Praxis entsprechen und bis 15. September 2023 abgegeben werden.
Gegebenenfalls wird die Arbeit in einem Reflexionsgespräch besprochen.
