Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course aims at offering an introduction to Śaivism, focussing on its history, rituals and theoretical issues. The course covers a timespan of roughly 2000 years, starting with the first mentions of Rudra-Śiva in the Vedas and concluding with a detailed analysis of the Śaiva Tantric traditions.

Please note: classes will ideally take place at the university. However, since the whole Covid 19 situation is unpredictable and in progress, they will be promptly moved online if necessary.
