Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar for Ph.D. students is primarily intended to serve as a platform to present, discuss and decisively advance Ph.D. projects. In addition, advanced students who are only planning a doctorate are expressly welcome. The content of the course is determined in consultation with the participants. There will also be ample opportunity to discuss current methodological approaches and to learn about relevant new publications in the field of Tibetology and Buddhist studies.

The assessment is based on
active participation 50%
short presentations in class 20%
essay 30%

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The successful participant demonstrates substantial progress in his doctoral thesis.

Examination topics

Translation and discussion of a text passage (Skt. and/or Tib.) that is relevant for your thesis.
