Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In the finalisation semester for isiZulu conversation a focus on descriptive conversation, class debates on topics, and presentations on news and actuality will form the core of the semester´s work.

A continuation of the three levels of isiZulu conversation covered in the previous semester will be covered as well.

Umsebenzi wethu uzohamba kanjani namhlanje futhi kuze kuphela unyaka? ( futhi naso sonke isikhathi )

*Sizobingelelana - wonke umuntu uzoba nethuba ukubingelela umgane eklasini ( kumele nibuzane ukuthi ninjani, umndeni unjani, usuku luhambe kanjani )

*Kwenzekani emhlabeni namuhla ( njenga kwisemester edlule, sizoqubeka nomsebenzi wokuxoxa ngezinto enizibonayo ezenzeka emhlabeni )
“ wonke umuntu, kumele abuze umbuzo”

*Sizobhala umdlalo, bese uma konke kuhamba kahle - sizobonisa abafundi abekwibanga elingaphansi kwenu.

Assessment and permitted materials

The examination will comprise of three assessment aspects spanning group and individual oral assignments.

1. A final class debate on examination topic ( Notes may be used )
2. A conversational dialoge ( non-rehearsed )
3. An individual presentation on a News and Actuality event, including a question and answer session ( Notes may be used )

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

A sound understanding of general isiZulu terms and vocabulary built up over the past three semsesters, including a shown ability to hold basic isiZulu conversation - with use of a varied vocubulary use.

Examination topics
