Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The texts component of the IsiZulu language course will continue to build upon the skills and knowledge learnt during the first year of the language course.
Various texts will be worked through, throughout the semester - with particular focus on Urban isiZulu writers and articles.

Assessment and permitted materials

The course will comprise of a final literature review as well as a spoken presentation on one of the main texts covered.
There will be a continuous assessment component in this course as well, which would count as much as 40% of the final semester grade.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Being up to date with the grammar course as well as regular attandance is a pre-requisite for this course.

Examination topics

Literature review on chosen texts, and final oral presentation.
