Format of Class meetings: Class interaction will be in the form of lectures, student presentations, debates in class, computer-based electronic communications, and demonstrations of fundamental issues.
COURSE INTRODUCTIONIn this course, students are introduced to the major trends, directions, and debates in contemporary African studies, and asked to critically examine the most important nuances of the debates based on primary and secondary data and analyses.
Pre-requisite and follow-up: First degree in African studies or a related area.
