Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this semester, the focus will be on the Fula noun and the extended verb forms, and the very specific logic in the structure of the grammar of this language will be discussed.
The students will get a general overview of the Fulfulde and will be able to actively use the language in rudimentary basics.
Interactive lectures, lots of exercises and group work will characterize the lessons.

Assessment and permitted materials

Active participation during the semester and the completion of written exercises are considered in grading.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

In principle, this course is based on WS24 - Introduction to Fulfulde 1. Rudimentary knowledge of Fulfulde is a prerequisite. However, this knowledge may also have been acquired in earlier semesters (or abroad).
Attendance and written exercises will be used for grading.

Examination topics

The content covered during the semester.

Reading list

The textbook (GAJDOS M.: Fulfulde, Edition Praesens, Vienna 2015) and the works from the bibliography distributed in the winter semester remain current.
