Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture offers an in-depth introduction to the theoretical and methodological background of Alevi theology. The lecture aims to enable students to analyze and critically evaluate academic texts in the context of Alevi theology. The focus of the lecture is on interdisciplinary studies on Alevism to reflect the religious depth of Alevism. Written, oral, ritual and visual information from the Alevi tradition in various origin and migration contexts are used as examples. The lecture is intended to enable students to apply these theories and methods to discuss and analyze current contexts from an academic perspective.

Written module exam
The exam questions cover the topics discussed in the lecture as well as the content provided on Moodle

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To receive a positive grade for the module exam, at least 50% of the points must be achieved.

To receive a positive grade for the entire STEOP-1 exam, both module parts must also be completed successfully.

Examination topics

The examination material includes the teaching content of the lecture and the literature provided on Moodle.
