Aims, contents and method of the course

"Applied Geography of Japan" is an introductory course. The course does not only deal with geography, it also will bear upon society, art, culture and problems of modern Japan. The course shall impart basic knowledge on Japan.
The course will be supported by power point presentations, videos or films. Questions and discussions are welcome.

Assessment and permitted materials

Final written exam.

Permitted auxiliary means: all content provided on the Moodle platform; dictionaries as necessary.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

No special prior knowledge is necessary for attending the class.

Written exam: The benchmark for passing the exam is at 51 %.

Examination topics

All content (script and PPP) provided on the Moodle e-learning platform will be relevant for the exam.
