Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar will be held in the English language. Academic reading of English language article and references is mandatory. The seminar provides non-native (Austrian, Chinese, Asian) speakers with the opportunity of academic discourse(s) in English.
Country studies of other Asian nations are welcome.

Assessment and permitted materials

1. presentation of selected paper on the topic with reference to author, related theory etc.
2. introduction to end term paper topic, draft table of contents
3. end term paper to be submitted till January 30, 2010

Examination topics

the seminar is conducted in the English language. Attendance to 3 block days is mandatory, as are reading materials. Reading is tested, credits are given for participation in classroom discussion(s).
