Aims, contents and method of the course
The participants present the concepts and first results of their Master theses, which then are discussed by all participants (students, teachers, supervisors).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The course aims at providing a platform for getting to know other students' topics and methodological approaches as well as to present first results and discuss challenges one has to face in the process of research and writing.
Examination topics
Each participant presents the topic agreed on with the supervisor of his/her thesis. The ensuing discussion focuses on the research question, methododological and theoretical approaches and problems and comments preliminary results.
Reading list
Each participant provides at least one Chinese and one Western language text related to his/her topic to the auditorium via Moodle in order to prepare for the discussion and written comments.
