Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar is in English.
Focus are different films of the Japanese colonial rule (Sayon's Bell, Kano, Sefdiq Bale) and current Asian films dealing with Japan or the Japanese colonial rule as well as the influence of Japanese pop culture. Several external experts analyze Taiwanese films as an example/ a case for the whole of Asia. Input of students from other Asean countries is welcome.

For EcoS students: This seminar will be eligible as a substitution seminar for M2 or M3 (with 7 or 8 ECTS respectively) OR can be used for M4, however only with 4 of 10 ECTS.
