Aims, contents and method of the course

Diese Lehrveranstaltung bietet den TeilnehmerInnen den Rahmen für eine vertiefte Auseinandersetzung mit der Dichtung der Tang-Dynastie, die auch heute zweifellos ein wesentliches Element des chinesischen Kulturbewusstseins bildet.

Im ersten Teil des Semesters wird der Schwerpunkt auf der gemeinsamen Lektüre und Analyse einiger längerer Gedichte bzw. Gedichtzyklen liegen (Bai Juyi und Du Fu), wobei - unter Bezugnahme auf die theoretisch-methodologische Pflichtlektüre - insbesondere Fragen der formalen Struktur chinesischer Versdichtung, der anthropologischen Bedeutung von gebundener Sprache überhaupt sowie des Sprachwandels seit der Tang-Dichtung diskutiert werden sollen. Im zweiten Teil des Semesters präsentieren die TeilnehmerInnen in Einzelreferaten Thema und Stand ihrer Seminararbeit.

Assessment and permitted materials

Aktive Teilnahme am Unterricht und Vorbereitung der zu lesenden Gedichte und Theorietexte; Referat (ca. 60 min. pro TeilnehmerIn); abschließende Seminararbeit im Umfang von 15-20 Seiten.

Sämtliche im Unterricht gemeinsam zu lesenden Gedichte wie auch die Pflichtlektüre zu Literaturtheorie/Methodologie werden zu Semesterbeginn auf moodle zur Verfügung gestellt und nach Bedarf laufend ergänzt.
