Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Departing from the concept of narrative identity and referring to two of the Vienna Taiwan lectures of this semester, the seminar works on representative works of Taiwanese literature and film of the 1980s.
Reading of secondary literature and text passages, film screening, presentations of individual analysis and Interpretation, discussion.

Assessment and permitted materials

Seminar paper (40%), presentation (30%), preparation and discussion (15%), minutes and commentary (15%).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements: scientific paper (15-20 pages), active participation according to course syllabus (moodle), not more than 3 absences.
