Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar will be taught by Professor Rossella Ferrari and Prof. Susanne Weigelin-Schwiedrzik. The first meeting will be digital to put us in the position to decide how to proceed for the rest of the semester.
In this seminar, participants will report on the state of their dissertation project and provide comments on the work of the other participants. In addition, we will discuss a variety of issues related to academic publications and other preconditions for pursuing an academic career.

Assessment and permitted materials

Participants will submit a dissertation chapter they wish to discuss, an updated introduction or a research plan in the week before their report. They will prepare and present a set of slides or other visual aids. Finally, they are required to provide comments and suggestions on the work of their peers.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Regular participation and presentation of the dissertation or a part of the dissertation. Frequent comments on the presentation given by other participants.
