the seminar discusses the stories of crime and mystery by Qiu Xiaolong. The German translation must be read in advance by each participant.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The seminar discusses the legal background and the Chinese laws that the fiction of Qiu Xiaolong is based on. Does he cite the laws correctly? What do the stories of Qiu Xiaolong tell us about Chinese legal practice and daily reality?

Examination topics

Researching Chinese laws and legal texts is practised.
