Reading list
Heilmann, Sebastian (Hrsg). 2016. Das politische System der Volksrepublik China. Wiesbaden: VS Verlag für SozialwissenschaftenNote: only the content presented on the slides and sound recordings is relevant for the examination. The "Kursbuch" (Heilmann 2016) and the literature added during the course should make it easier for you to understand this content better. Ideally, you read selectively, i.e. with regard to phenomena and events that are shown on the slides but cannot be understood by you. Together with the tutorial and the opportunity to ask questions in the VL, this should optimally prepare you for further studies (and of course the exam). It is by no means about learning the extensive material by heart, but rather reading it selectively, differentiating between the important and the unimportant, asking questions, going deeper and thinking deeply about the connections between the many factors that we will talk about in the coming weeks .
