Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture provides a short overview over different sections of Chinese law beginning with legal history. Following sessions include: constitution and principle laws, civil law, labour and social laws, family law, criminal law, birth planning law

The lecture gives a basic introduction into the field of Chinese law, also to stimulate more detailed studies in the field. Additional reading materials are provided, as well as some basic Chinese language terminology
