Assessment and permitted materials
*) Attendance (max. 3 absences) and active participation in class:
Attendance in the first session is mandatory (for enrollment in the course). Written tests conducted during the course are decisive for assessment. Attendance of participants at the two partial exams is therefore required. Exceptions to class attendance must be justified with a medical certificate.*) Two partial exams:Written midterm exam (35%): expected on 18 Nov 2025
Written final exam (60%): expected on 20 Jan 2026*) Homework (short dialogue with new grammar): 5%
Homework must be submitted on time to be counted.No aids are allowed during exams. If an exam is missed due to illness, a make-up exam is only possible upon submission of a medical certificate.*) Bonus assignments:
Students whose assessment falls between grades 2 and 4 will have the opportunity to improve their grade through additional assignments. The type and scope of these assignments will be announced in the first course session.Plagiarism notice:

The first-time attendance of a course with continuous assessment counts as an exam attempt, i.e., the course will be graded. However, if you officially withdraw within the deregistration deadline, grading is usually waived.
