Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course focuses on the discursive and semiotic practices in those communicative forms of the "New Media" which have become known under the heading of "web 2.0", i.e. communicative forms in which user-generated content is central. One central interest of th course is a "diachronic" approach to internet communication which deals with the development of communicative practices from the beginning of the internet as a medium for specialists towards its present state in which a majority of the population in the developed countries engages in internet based communicative forms on a daily basis. The second focus is on different contexts of use of these communicative forms (private, political, business uses etc.)
