Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Old Irish I represents the first half of the introduction to Old Irish and has no prerequisites. The first half of the text (see literature) will serve as the subject matter of the course, which therefore includes basic nominal and verbal morphology, as well as conjugated prepositions.

Assessment and permitted materials

Class participation and a passing grade on a written final exam are required for successful completion of this course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The acquisition of basic concepts of Old Irish grammar.

Examination topics

Lecture with student participation.
