Aims, contents and method of the course

The Silver Age of Russian Literature is wrapped in a shroud of mystery... you are invited to unveil this enigma and gain an insight into one of the outstanding and most complex phenomena in the cultural history of that country.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment will be on the basis of a class work, a presentation and a final essay.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

At the end of the course students are supposed to distinguish Acmeism from Imaginism, Futurism from Constructivism as well as be aware of the fact that poetry was not the only striking feature of this epoch.
